Commissioner's Note: It is with deep regret that I must inform you that MBSledHead has stepped down from his position of Asst Commissioner in charge of Xbox, as well as his position as Los Santos County Sheriff and SAHP Joint Ops SWAT Team 1 Leader. MBSledHead will be operated solely as a civilian. SOCCERMAN1995 will take his position as LSCo Sheriff for Xbox.

I would like to congratulate Maui Youtube V2 to being promoted to LSPD Chief.

In addition, I would like to announce that SOCCERMAN1995 has transfered to being the county Undersheriff. 

In conclusion, we are looking to hire an assistant chief for LSPD, crigger98 has been nominated.

We are also in need of an assistant chief for LSFD, LSFD firefighters/emts, special agents for FIB, and highway patrol members.

DOSLS Paramedic Program

     Department of Services would like to introduce the San Andreas ALS Paramedic Program. This program brings full time ALS Paramedics into both LSCoFR and LSFD. In addition, it creates a bank of ALS trained members available for duty.

      Thursday, new officers were trained through our academy, and now the first crew of the Joint Operations SWAT team have completed their first steps into becoming an elite squad.  

      This first group contains 6 members of local, state, and federal law enforcement and will be on call 24/7. The SWAT team will be responsable for tactical intervention, bomb disposal, crisis negotiations and tactical support.

Congratulations to both the 2014-1 and 2014-2 police academy classes. Both groups have graduated members of the Los Santos Police Department and the Los Santos County Sheriff's Office.

Winter Storm Samuel Update

     Winter Storm Samuel has now passed over the state and moved on. The snow is not expected stay long but it caused traffic and other problems durng the entire duration of the storm. Parts of Los Santos County experienced power loss and the San Andreas Highway Patrol stated they had over 50 accidents reported across the region, along with 44 spin outs and 30 additional motorist assist calls. Even as the snow melts, the memories shall remain.

   Looks like it will be a white Christmas here in San Andreas as winter storm Samuel enters the region. We will be expecting up to 6 to 8 inches in some areas. San Andreas Highway Patrol and the Department of Transportation are urging motorists to use caution whil driving, especially in the snow. SADOT will be out in full force begin this afternoon. In adition, the San Andreas Emergency Operations Center willl be open at 8 PM tonight.

  We will also be monitoring the Christmas Day storm and providing additional information.
