Roll Over Sends One by Helicopter

      Los Santos County emergency services, with the assistance of the highway patrol, responded to a rollover accident on the Tongva and Harmony town line. Upon arrival, crews discvovered a station wagon on its side and one male occupant trapped inside. Ports an Aviation was called to the scene to med-a-vac the occupant to Sandy Shores where he is now in stable condition. 

     SAHP states that speed may have been a factor as the car was travelling westbound on US 68, when it drove off a curve onto the side road.

Shots Fired in Paleto Bay

     Los Santos County Sheriff's deputies responded to a home in Paleto Bay over the weekend. It started when a neighbor called police after seeing the resident carrying a women over his shoulder towards the home. The woman began fighting, at which time, the man dropped her and ran in his house.

      The man then baracaded himself in his home until deputies arrived and took action. Four deputies formed up and entered the home after failed negotiations and were forced to shoot the suspect as he pulled a shotgun. 

    The suspect was pronounsed dead  at the scene and the woman is expected to be OK.

Vice Presidential Arts Awards

     In two weeks, Vice President Joe Biden will be visiting the city at the Betsy O'Neil Music Hall. He will be here to attend his Vice Presidential Arts Awards ceremony, an event that recognizes talented youth from the Los Santos area that have done great achievements through the arts, or made a significant impact on the community through them.

    Regional law enforcment agencies are gearing up for what may be a hetic day of a Presidential visit. LSPD has told us that even though this is a special event, protestors may still show up and do thier thing. They will be taking the appropriate precautions, as well as keep watch on the lawful assembly permits.

      Thursday, new officers were trained through our academy, and now the first crew of the Joint Operations SWAT team have completed their first steps into becoming an elite squad.  

      This first group contains 6 members of local, state, and federal law enforcement and will be on call 24/7. The SWAT team will be responsable for tactical intervention, bomb disposal, crisis negotiations and tactical support. 

Tractor Trailer Rolls Off Highway

Paleto Bay, SA

   Early Saturday night, Los Santos County Fire Rescue, as well as the Highway Patrol and Sheriff's Office responded to a tractor trailer accident near the Mt Chilliad State Forest. According to fire officials, they arrived to a Ron Gasoline tractor trailer rolled off the Great Ocean Highway, with one trapped occupant. 

   There was no significant environmental impact.

    The driver of the truck was transported to Paleto Bay Medical Center and the accident is  under investigation by the Highway Patrol.

Bus Struck By Police Car

     Friday evening, while returning to a rental shop, this bus was struck by a passing police car. No injuries were reported, but there is damage to the bus, as well as the building the bus veared into. 

   LSPD has no official statement, but they are investigating.

FIB Investigating Bullet Riddled Car

    Over the weekend, a hiker discovered a puzzling scene while hiking in the Land Act Reservoir just outside of east Los Santos. LSPD arrived and requested the FIB to assist in investigating. 

   According to media sources, this white and red Gauntlet was covered in bullet holes on the driver's side. No body was located at the scene, and no official statement has been released by authorities.

Congratulations to both the 2014-1 and 2014-2 police academy classes. Both groups have graduated members of the Los Santos Police Department and the Los Santos County Sheriff's Office.
